C3 develops incentive programs to help Albertans become more energy efficient – yet we know that home retrofits are not accessible to low-income households. What are the links between low income and fuel poverty? We are researching the extent of energy poverty in Alberta to evaluate policy, programs and partners to ease the financial burden of utility bills for the most vulnerable people in our society.
Albertans are already adapting to climate change, yet there is little support to help them cope with the threats and opportunities associated with it.
How will changes in extreme weather, temperature and precipitation impact our environment and aging infrastructure? We are building a business case
for planning strategies to cope with climate-related risks.
